Hi, I’m Eneida Miranda, DO. I’m an integrative psychiatrist who believes in a personalized, patient-centered approach to mental health care that treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I believe that physical health and mental health are deeply interconnected, and true healing requires compassionate, collaborative care tailored to your unique needs and values. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and tools to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, even when faced with challenges.
My journey into psychiatry began with personal experiences that shaped my understanding of mental health. Growing up, I witnessed the effects of untreated mental illness in my family, which sparked a deep desire to provide the kind of compassionate, comprehensive care my loved ones didn’t receive. This calling led me to pursue medicine, and I chose osteopathy for its holistic philosophy—treating the whole person and recognizing the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
Before medical school, I worked in mental health at McLean Hospital, gaining invaluable experience that confirmed my passion for psychiatry. Over the years, I’ve trained and practiced in diverse settings, including emergency rooms, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, and telepsychiatry, working with patients from all walks of life. These experiences have deepened my ability to connect with others, no matter their background or circumstances.
What truly sets me apart is the way I integrate traditional and holistic care. Whether through evidence-based therapies, medication management, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), or mindfulness techniques, I work with you to craft a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values. My own experiences with anxiety, depression, and postpartum challenges have given me a profound empathy for my patients’ struggles and a personal understanding of what it means to seek and find healing.
Outside of medicine, I’m a proud wife and mom to a bright and energetic three-year-old daughter who inspires me daily. I have a passion for cooking, traveling, and immersing myself in different cultures—I speak five languages and love discovering new perspectives. Staying active and grounded through exercise and my Christian faith helps me maintain balance in my life, values I also bring into my practice to help others.
I believe we all have the strength within us to heal, grow, and thrive, and I am honored to be a guide on that journey!
