FAQs

  • A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is a fully licensed physician who takes a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. DOs are trained to understand the interconnectedness of physical and mental health and use hands-on techniques like Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

  • Integrative psychiatry combines traditional evidence-based treatments, such as medications and psychotherapy, with holistic approaches like mindfulness, lifestyle coaching, and nutraceuticals. This personalized care addresses root causes of mental health concerns and promotes healing for the whole person, helping you or your child achieve emotional balance, improved functioning, and long-term wellness.

  • Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a hands-on therapy that restores balance and flow within the body, promoting physical and emotional well-being. While beneficial for many conditions, including pain, anxiety, and mood disorders, OMT is personalized to your unique needs and health goals. During your consultation, we’ll determine if OMT is a good fit for you.

  • I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, postpartum concerns, mood disorders, behavioral issues, and more. My practice also supports professionals, athletes, and individuals navigating complex life transitions. I am currently working with patients between the ages of 5 and 65.

  • I offer virtual appointments for patients in Texas, New York, Massachusetts, and California, providing you or your child with convenient, high-quality care from the comfort of your home. However, if you are interested in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), these sessions will need to be conducted in person to ensure the hands-on care required for this treatment.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which allows me to offer highly personalized care and dedicate more time and attention to each patient’s unique needs. While I do not accept insurance directly, I can provide you with a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

Payment is processed electronically via credit or debit card at the time of service. While sliding scales or discounted rates are not available, this approach ensures you receive exceptional, individualized care focused entirely on your well-being.

During our initial consultation, I will transparently discuss my fees and payment options, ensuring you feel fully informed and confident about the investment you are making in your or your child’s mental well-being. My goal is to build a trusted, collaborative partnership, providing the comprehensive care you deserve—without compromise.

  • As an out-of-network provider, I maintain a smaller patient panel, which means more time, flexibility, and personalized attention for each individual. I also integrate a wide range of evidence-based and holistic treatments tailored to your specific needs, which may not always be available through in-network providers.

  • Parents play a key role in their child’s mental health care. I involve parents through open communication, family therapy, and parent management training to provide the tools needed to support their child’s growth, improve relationships, and address challenges together.

  • I believe in collaborative care and take the time to understand your family’s unique values, beliefs, and goals. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that honors these values while supporting your or your child’s mental health needs.

  • The journey toward feeling better varies for each patient, depending on the nature of their challenges, their personal goals, and their commitment to the process. At Enlightened Mind Therapeutics, I partner with you to create a personalized treatment plan designed to address your unique needs and achieve meaningful progress.

For many patients, noticeable improvements in symptoms and overall well-being can occur within 1-2 months of starting treatment. This timeline is influenced by several factors, including the complexity of the concerns, the chosen treatment modalities, and the consistency of follow-up appointments.

    • For Children and Families:
Children and adolescents dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or trauma may start seeing improvements in emotional regulation, focus, and relationships within a few weeks to months as therapy, parent management training, or medication management is implemented. Parents often report feeling more equipped to support their child and notice a positive shift in family dynamics.

    • For Professionals and Entrepreneurs:
High-achieving adults struggling with stress, burnout, anxiety, or ADHD often experience improved focus, productivity, and work-life balance within 1-2 months of beginning treatment. Therapy, lifestyle coaching, and mindfulness practices are key components in creating this change.

    • For Perinatal/Postpartum Women:
Mothers navigating postpartum depression, anxiety, or the challenges of adjusting to motherhood can expect to feel more balanced and emotionally stable as early as 4-8 weeks after beginning therapy, lifestyle interventions, and other personalized treatments.

    • For Athletes:
Athletes facing performance anxiety, burnout, or injury-related challenges typically see progress within the first few months, as tailored therapeutic and holistic interventions reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and rebuild confidence.

    • For Individuals Supporting Loved Ones with Serious Mental Illness:
Caregivers may begin to feel more empowered and less overwhelmed within a month or two as they gain tools, resources, and emotional support to navigate the challenges of caregiving.

While initial improvements can occur relatively quickly, achieving sustained, long-term results often requires ongoing collaboration and consistency. My approach is designed to help you not only feel better in the short term but also build a foundation for lasting emotional well-being and resilience.
